MadSoul Music and Arts Festival

presented by Congressmen Maxwell Frost

MERCH DESIGN & MIXED MEDIA ANIMATION

It started when Maxwell Frost, the first Gen Z member of Congress, was 18. Growing up in Central Florida, he went to the Osceola School for the Performing Arts and organically brought his friends together to host the first MadSoul. Now with 8 festivals in the history books, MadSoul (@madsoulfestival) has flourished into a music festival that brings together national and local acts, along with speakers, activists, and movement leaders doing important political work in Central Florida.

This year tickets were available on a sliding scale and proceeds went to the Orlando Center for Justice, the Hope CommUnity Center, and the Florida Immigrant Coalition which all serve immigrant communities with legal aid, mutual aid, education, and political advocacy. Attendees were able to register to vote, fulfilling one of the purposes of MadSoul which is to give the next generation more spaces to engage in politics.

The following designs were part of a larger collection which includes work from @artifctstudio. The line-up poster was crafted by hand with post-it notes, scanned, and collaged together digitally. The animation was composed digitally and aided in the anticipation of the festival.
